Hello folks. I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to fix the long-standing bugs of this cute little game jam project, as well as make a few adjustments and tweaks.

Fixes:

  • The ladder in town would sometimes not properly put you in the "lower layer" when climbing down the ladder, resulting in some weird passability issues. This was fixed.
  • There was a tile that would take you to the debug room in the shop. This was removed.
  • The final boss would crash when first selecting an action, except in cases where the final boss was the only fight encountered after loading from the title screen. No idea why this would happen, but it's fixed (i hope)

Adjustments:

  • Max HP pots now only give +2 HP instead of +5 HP. More HP pots were added throughout the town to compensate.
  • Battle music in the final dungeon was removed to create a more brooding sense of progress throughout the dungeon and eliminate the constant restarting music (there are many fights in there).

That's all for now. I really liked working on this game, and I really loved creating a weird little grid-based card battle system. I wanna do more with it, but not sure when or if I will ever be able to devote the time and effort it would take to make the complete game experience it deserves. Alas! Someday, maybe.
